Sunday's Open Studio: Sara Sene

Sara's the featured artist this sunday at my Open Studio this Sunday, July 8th, from 2-6pm.

If you're in Hong Kong, stop by the studio for the chance to chat with this talented artist and sample some fabulous Sri Lankan food.

SARAsene, a professional multimedia artist living and working for the past
36 years in 16 major international cities around the world, finally settled
down in Hong Kong for the past 22 years having a solo exhibiton of his recently
done multimedia work including controversial caricatures, illustrations and
sculpture work.

He will display some of his printed and published editorial political
cartoons which helped him to win Amnesty International Press Awards in 1996, 1997 & 1998 in Hong Kong.

He had over 16 solo exhibitions in all over the world including famous
galleries in the USA, Queens Theatre in the Park in New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles,
Singapore, Rome, Hong Kong, Nepal, Teheran and Colombo.

His work has been commended by such public figures as Queen Elizabeth II, Former US President Bill Clinton, ex British Prime Minister Tony Blair and last Governor of Hong Kong Lord Chris Patten.

He is still in exile from his native country Sri Lanka and has stirred controversy with his published editorial political cartoons and caricatures.
