Living in warm wet Asian climes, you get used to geckoes as friendly roommates. We usually have one or two flitting across our walls at nighttime.

My mom recently came to visit and would jump each time they'd scuttle out of our storage closet. Next year she needs to stay longer on Lamma, to get used to them!

Living in warm wet TEXAS climes you get used to them too. :)
I believe (perhaps a choice) they eat mosquitoes, so I try to be nice to them.

Hi TinyH, yes they do eat mozzies, and we're very happy to have them here...

Funny I always hear people going on about them in Asia, but never a mention of them from Texas. Too much talk of cowboy hats and big hair I guess.
